55th Validation Session Concludes!
In July 2024, FIATA successfully concluded its 55th Validation Session, during which six Association Members were validated for the FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding. This session included six revalidations and one first-time validation.
The Association Members that underwent revalidation were as follows:
- Association for Transport, Freight Forwarding and Logistics Organizations in Ukraine (UKRZOVNISHTRANS) - Ukraine
- Association of Logistics and Freight Forwarding of the Slovak Republic (ZLZ SR) - Slovakia
- Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association, Inc. (CIFFA) - Canada
- The Bulgarian Association for Freight Forwarding, Transport and Logistics (NSBS) - Bulgaria
- The Shipping and Forwarding Agents Association of Zimbabwe (SFAAZ) - Zimbabwe
- Uganda Freight Forwarders' Association (UFFA) - Uganda
Additionally, the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) was validated for its courses for the first time.
FIATA extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the validated Association Members and looks forward to the continued collaboration and productive work. The validation and revalidation certificates will be officially be presented during the 2024 FIATA World Congress, taking place 23-27 September 2024 in Panama. Ever wanted to take part in the selection of the Young Logistics Professionals (YLP)Ā 2024Ā Global Winner? Hereās your chance!
For the first time, FIATA is introducing a live audience voting at the 2024 FIATA World Congress (FWC) in Panama. On Wednesday 25 September, during the dedicated session at the Congress, the four regional winners will go through the last round of the competition, presenting their work to the in-person audience. This year, YOU will have the opportunity to influence the final outcome by casting your vote for your favourite candidate.
The YLP regional winners have been chosen based on their outstanding written dissertations, rigorously evaluated by a panel of experts from FIATA Logistics Instituteās Task Force 2. The Global Winner will be determined by combining the dissertation scores (80%) and audience votes (20%). By consolidating professional evaluations with audience participation, we hope to create a more dynamic and inclusive event that highlights the talents of young logistics professionals.

Join the Global Sustainability Supply Chain Student Competition!
To inspire the next generation of supply chain leaders, FIATA, in collaboration with the Global Supply Chain Classroom (GSCC) and the International Center for Transport Diplomacy (ICTD), introduced the Global Sustainability Supply Chain Student Competition. This competition challenges university students worldwide to develop sustainable solutions to real-world supply chain issues. Endorsed by the UN Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport, it aims to educate and inspire future champions of sustainability.
The competition integrates an online course and resources to teach students about sustainable supply chains. It promotes cross-cultural learning by pairing students from advanced and developing economies, exposing them to diverse global supply chain challenges.
Eligible students include those enrolled in graduate or undergraduate programmes during the 2024-25 academic year. The competition consists of three rounds: written submissions, presentations to select regional representatives, and a final global round to determine the overall winners.
In its inaugural 2023 edition, over 250 students from around the world participated and the winners had the chance to be celebrated at the 2024 FIATA HQ Meeting in Geneva, in April 2024. Click here to view the 2023 winners!
