Letter from the FIATA Congress Committee Chair
In the final days ahead of the upcoming 2023 FIATA World Congress (FWC) in Brussels, I take this opportunity, as FCC Chair, to welcome the FIATA family in Brussels. I am pleased to present to you all the highly relevant panels FIATA and the hosts have curated for this event.
As a host of a successful FWC in Malaysia a few years ago, I understand the tremendous work that has been done to prepare for this upcoming 60th edition of the Congress. The event is a crucial one for FIATA and there are many valuable lessons to be learned as the Federation prepares for the launch of registrations for the 2024 FWC in Panama.
FIATA’s Extended Board will also select the host of the 2026 FWC, which marks the 100th anniversary of FIATA, making this Congress in Brussels an event one should not miss. As FCC Chair, I reaffirm my full dedication to supporting the 2023 FWC hosts as needed and focusing on improving the participants' experience as we approach the 100th anniversary, hand in hand with the FIATA Congress Hosts, Presidency, Extended Board and FIATA HQ team. I encourage all participants to consult the 2023 FWC Mobile App, and network to make the most of their presence in Brussels.

World Customs Organization - Special Session

This session highlights FIATA's long-standing collaboration with the World Customs Organization (WCO), and will provide industry expertise and support at international and regional levels to optimise supply chain operations. Furthermore, FIATA will demonstrate its role as a key member of the WCO Private Sector Consultative Group (PSCG), serving as a crucial link between the industry and governmental entities. FIATA members are invited to join the session and learn more about the WCO's impact on business and national policies, and how their initiatives are influencing the way we conduct international trade.
