FIATA Inaugurates First FIATA-RAMs Field Meeting in Barranquilla, Colombia

Barranquilla, Colombia, 5 December 2024 — FIATA International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations, proudly inaugurated its first-ever FIATA-Region Americas (RAMs) Field Meeting today, held in conjunction with the annual Fitac International Congress (FIC), organised by Federación Colombiana de Agentes Logísticos en Comercio Internacional (Fitac). This landmark event took place in the vibrant city of Barranquilla, Colombia, marking a significant step in strengthening FIATA’s engagement with its RAMs Members.
 
The FIATA-RAMs Field Meeting brought together freight forwarding professionals, industry leaders, and stakeholders from across the Americas to discuss critical issues shaping the logistics and supply chain sectors. The agenda focused on key regional challenges and opportunities, fostering collaboration to drive innovation and growth in the industry.
 
A Platform for Regional Collaboration
As the first of its kind in the region, the meeting underscored FIATA’s commitment to addressing region-specific needs and promoting knowledge exchange among its Members. Topics of discussion included digital transformation, sustainable logistics, regulatory frameworks, and capacity-building initiatives tailored to the unique demands of the Americas.
