FIATA International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations was founded on 31 May 1926 by 16 organisations representing the freight forwarding profession across Europe.

FIATA’s founding objective was to unite freight forwarding organisations from different territories to safeguard and promote their common professional and economic interests.
